At ToxyFree we reuse shipping materials because it's what's inside that counts! This includes plastic that has been sent to us. We do not ever purchase plastic shipping materials, and we do everything possible to request non-plastic shipping materials being sent to us.
Despite these efforts, some of our products are still sent to us using plastic. We keep everything and reuse it to send out our own shipments. Please keep the reusing cycle going and save any plastic packaging for your own future shipments!
As consumers, we all have enormous power in changing the system! Requesting non-plastic shipping materials tells the world to change.
All orders are processed within 2-3 days.
Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.
If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
Delivery delays can occasionally occur.

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.
We ship to addresses within the U.S. We also ship internationally.
We are not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).
We are not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.
Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, intimate or sanitary goods.
Additional non-returnable items:
- Gift cards
- Downloadable software products
- Some health and personal care items
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
- Book with obvious signs of use
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
If you're going through all the trouble of buying organic food why use dishes and cookware that will introduce dangerous toxins to your meal? Our unglazed clay cookware are handmade in Columbia using a 700 year old tradition. They're so beautiful they can function as a dish after you take it out of the oven or off the stove. We've had many customers come back and say that their food tastes better after having used our clay cookware.
It is practical and beautiful and is ideal for cooking and serving. It can be used in the oven, microwave and on the stovetop (for use with electric range coil elements use an inexpensive heat diffuser and this one for glass tops).
AVOID EXPOSURE TO SUDDEN TEMPERATURE CHANGES (placing in the oven directly from the refrigerator; placing in a hot oven or preheated oven; placing it on a cold surface when it is hot)
BEFORE FIRST USE: fill your piece 3/4 full with water (some people are sensitive to the smell of seasoning the pieces and prefer using milk, lard or butter) and place uncovered in an oven for 30 minutes at 400 degrees F. This usually seals the cookware; however, a complete seal may only happen after using several times for cooking. Boiling milk may help if a vessel is still too porous, but this is rarely necessary.
ALL OF THE COOKWARE & TABLEWARE CAN BE USED OVER ANY DIRECT HEAT SOURCE INCLUDING AN OPEN FIRE (be very careful of sudden temperature changes!). OVER TIME YOU WILL NOTICE CHANGES IN COLOR OF THE POT FROM EXPOSURE TO THE HEAT SOURCE.
CLEANING: After seasoning, the cookware should clean easily! Quickly soak and wipe down with a sponge or soft cloth. Avoid dishwashers, abrasive cleaners and soaking for long periods of time.
THERE ARE NO TOXINS USED IN THE PRODUCTION OF THE COOKWARE. THE PIECES ARE NOT GLAZED AND THERE IS NO LEAD FOUND IN THE CLAY. THE BLACK COLOR COMES FROM THE FIRING PROCESS AND THE SMOOTH FINISH OF THE PIECES IS THE RESULT OF PAINSTAKING HAND-BURNISHING WITH STONES.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the handmade process (and sometimes by different artisans) dimensions will vary for each piece. Small imperfections in the finish and flecks of minerals in the clay are because of the natural materials and handmade process. Mica in the surface allows the cookware to heat evenly and not to crack. Lids are made individually but do not always fit perfectly because of the various shrinking rates during firing.
