Floating Bath Thermometer – Handcrafted German Oiled Beechwood & Plastic-Free

A floating bath thermometer handcrafted in Germany from oiled beechwood and filled with natural spirit of wine — the toxin-free alternative to plastic bath thermometers that looks as beautiful in your tub as it is practical.
This wooden bath thermometer floats on the water so that the temperature can be read easily, measuring up to a maximum of +50°C / +120°F.
At 25cm it's long enough to read clearly from above the tub without having to reach in, and the floating design means it naturally rights itself to display the temperature at water level — no fumbling, no guessing.
Made of oiled beechwood encasing a glass thermometer filled with spirit of wine — the same alcohol-based temperature-reading system used in precision instruments for centuries, with no mercury, no synthetic dyes, and no plastic anywhere in the construction. Handcrafted in Germany since 1935.
Most bath thermometers are plastic — the kind that cracks after a few months, leaches into your bathwater, and ends up in the landfill. This one is the opposite. A natural alternative to plastic bath thermometers, its natural materials offer both durability and sustainability — oiled beechwood that ages gracefully, glass that lasts indefinitely, and spirit of wine that is non-toxic by nature. Bath temperature matters more than most people realize: water that is too hot stresses the cardiovascular system, depletes moisture from skin, and disrupts the nervous system — especially for children and those with sensitive constitutions. Getting the perfect bath temperature is important for a comfortable soak and essential for keeping little ones safe during bath time. This thermometer gives you that information accurately, beautifully, and without introducing a single synthetic material into your most intimate wellness ritual.
To use: Place in the filled tub or basin and allow 60 seconds for the reading to stabilize before checking. The thermometer floats horizontally for easy reading from above.
Recommended bath temperatures: 92–100°F (33–38°C) for adults; 98–100°F (37–38°C) for babies and young children. Maximum temperature 120°F / 50°C — do not use in hot tubs or saunas exceeding this range.
Care: Rinse with clean water after use and dry gently with a soft towel. Store in a dry location away from direct heat or sunlight. Handle with care — the glass inner tube is precision-made and should not be dropped on hard surfaces.
