Natural Stone Toothpick and Matchstick Holder — Handcrafted from Ocean-Tumbled Rock

A single raw stone drilled to hold toothpicks or kitchen matchsticks upright — no plastic, no lacquer, no synthetic materials.
This holder is made from a naturally ocean-tumbled stone handpicked on the seacoast of Maine and drilled by hand in a small Maine studio using diamond drill bits and water. The opening is sized to hold a standard bundle of toothpicks or a box of kitchen matchsticks securely upright on a kitchen counter, dining table, or bar surface. No coatings, dyes, varnishes, or synthetic finishes are applied at any point. What you receive is the stone as it was found — shaped by water and time, made functional by hand.
The weight and texture of raw stone means this holder does not slide, tip, or need to be anchored. It simply sits where you place it. Every piece is one of a kind. Color, shape, and size vary from stone to stone, and no two holders will look exactly alike.
Most toothpick and matchstick holders sold today are made from plastic or coated wood — materials that may leach or off-gas compounds into the air and onto surfaces they contact. This holder is raw stone. It has no coating, no finish, and no synthetic component of any kind. It does not interact chemically with anything it touches, and it will not degrade, crack, or shed particles over time.
Sourced from the natural shoreline of coastal Maine and processed without industrial chemicals, this is one of the simplest and most inert objects you can keep on a kitchen counter or dining table — and one of the most permanent.
Strike the match on the bottom of the rock instead of the side so as not to create permanent black marks on the stone.
No maintenance required. Wipe clean with a damp cloth as needed. The stone surface may darken slightly when wet and will return to its natural tone as it dries.
Do not use chemical cleaners, solvents, or abrasive scrubbers on the stone surface. Because the holder is uncoated raw rock, harsh cleaning agents are unnecessary and may affect the natural surface appearance over time.
To remove a toothpick bundle or matchstick box, simply lift straight up. The opening is sized for a standard fit — do not force an oversized bundle into the holder.
