RAW MEATY BONES (RMB) 40%

small dogs (whole quail, chicken wings 30% of meal and 70% meat, duck feet, chicken necks, cornish hen)

medium dogs (all the small dog bones, chicken backs 35%, duck necks, chicken quarters, pork tails, duck wings)

large dogs (whole prey rabbit, turkey neck, lamb head, pork feet, turkey feet, whole chicken, lamb necks 50%, pork necks 30%, turkey necks 50%, ox tails, beef ribs 30%, turkey tails)

any meaty bone that can be completely consumed by your dog!

keep phosophorus and calcium ratio 1:1 over time

phosphorus = meat

calcium = bone

some things are bonier than others (adjust 30%/50%)

BONE CONTENT

chicken (leg quarters 30%, split breast 20%, thigh 15%, drumstick 30%, wing 45%, neck 36%, back 45%, feet 60%, head 75%)

beef (ribs 52%, oxtails 45-65%)

lamb (ribs 27%, shoulder blade 24%, whole shoulder arm and blade 21%)

duck (whole 28%, neck 50%, feet 60%)

turkey (whole turkey 21%, thigh 21%, drumstick 20%, wing 37%, neck 42%, back 41%)

rabbit (whole rabbit including fur 10%, whole dressed 28%)

OFFAL (10-15% OR 1-2 MEALS/WEEK)

fries (testicles), head meat (cheek and jowl), heart, kidney, lips, liver, melt (spleen), rinds (skin), sweetbreads (thymus gland or pancreas), tail, tongue

if loose stools try feeding small amounts each day

RAW GREEN TRIPE (2 OR MORE MEALS/WEEK)

perfect balance of calcium to phosphorus (1:1)

rich in digestive enzymes and Lactobacillus Acidophilus, vitamin B

contains the essential fatty acids, Linoleic and Linolenic in the proper ratio

(tripe from grass-fed animals)

RECREATIONAL BONES

beef neck bones

(use later for pet bone broth)

CALCIUM SUPPLEMENT

blend eggshells (pastured) until powdery

use 1/2 tsp/lb of meat
