Minnesota Basswood Honey

Posted by Laura Paulisich on

From our single-source Minnesota honey farm:

The Basswood trees that produce our famous Basswood Honey are mostly immune to current low moisture conditions, since they have deep tap roots and the blossoms are already set, hanging like little berries in clusters of 20-30. Basswood bloom dates for the large leaf native species around this region are near July 1st. Two large 60 foot tall native big leaf Basswood trees can produce as much honey as 20 acres of clover!
